curly hair grows at the same rate as every other kind of hair. Hair usually grows at about 1/2in a month.

Normal hair growth is 1/2 inch a month, but with curly hair it may seem slower because it curls up. That shouldn't stop you from getting a regular trim though. Getting hair trimmed atleast 1/2 inch 2x a year is important.... more if your hair is abused (chemicals, blowdryers, etc...) and has split/dry ends. Otherwise it will just split and break off, and not grow and look unhealthy. Taking vitamins, such as a good multi vitamin or even prenatal vitamins really helps hair to grow at it's max speed.

Well, honestly, it does. I have curly hair myself and it took me a long time just to see it grow out. It might take a while but if you do what you can to speed up the process. Like: flat ironing it, pressing it, etc. you can do a lot to hair so just experiment and have fun with it. Just don't go too overboard to where you can't fix it. Have fun with hair. It's women's best feature.

I would assume curly hair grows at the same rate as straight hair... and some people's hair grows faster than others.
