So that car manufacturers and car dealers can say the car they're selling can go that fast. So the people who buy the car can say they're car can go that fast.

Its an image thing more than a practicality.

its because of a term known as job security. if the cars cant speed then the city's and states lose the revenue from the publics speeding tickets. also the cars in America are made for other countries where the speed limits don't apply. most new cars ment to be sold in America have govern chip that prevents you from going speeds in excess of 95 mph. which oddly is still over the speed limit, and that brings us back to job security.

going 120 can lose your life. The higher you speed the higher chance that your car can lose control.

Because the bills that city hall accumulates has to be paid by someone. How do you think police departments pay for all that fancy gadgets that they use to shock the hell outta ya or fuel their squad cars with premium gas while letting them run constantly in the summer...my point...speeding tickets generate revenue..nuf said. Did you actually think traffic tickets where designed to actually persuade you to do the right thing........NEXT QUESTION!
