Today my dog suddenly began acting very strangly. His tail has not been up as hard as it usually is, and his nose is dry. He seems very listless and tired compared to his usual energetic happy self. Somebody please help, tell me if this is something serious and if I should have him checked out. I love my dog very much.

The best rule of thumb is..If you would take a child to the doctor with the same symptoms, then your dog should go to a vet.
Your dog DOES need to see the vet if it is acting the same in the morning.

Yes you should have him checked out immediately. You have excellent intuition-- any sudden, very strange, dry nose, listlessness, and change in usual self are warning signs which shouldn't be ignored or rationalized. A dog can die from something that could be easily reversed with immediate treatment but a delay in treatment and they can progress past the point of no return. Good luck to you and your beloved dog.

You said your dog "suddenly" started acting strangely. He is listless and tired and not energetic. You seem alarmed so your best bet is to call your Vet's office and they will likely have you come in to check the dog out. That would be best because you say this is very strange for your dog. Better safe than sorry.

It relies upon on the placement. If the canine is whelping a muddle of puppies or a cat has slightly diarhhea then the 1st option could be to shield it at homestead to work out if the placement gets extra useful. And whilst waiting human beings can ask different puppy proprietors in the event that they have any ideas on a thank you to handle the undertaking and ask for general advice. If it would not get extra useful then the subsequent option is the vet. some human beings do have some hum dingers on right here, yet for the main section the questions are stable, valid ones.

Dry nose is usually fever. I would not mess around with fever because it points to infection somewhere which means antibiotics may be the only solution. If it were my dog, I would go immediately to the vet! As the old adage goes: Better safe than sorry!
I'm sure you'll do the right thing.

Take him to the Vet immediately. Dry nose in a dog means he is very sick. Put in the car and go now!! He may have gotten a disease, or he needs heartworm pills. If you care about his life , then move your *** now!!!

He may not be feeling well but it doesn't sound too serious, keep an eye on him and if he gets new symptoms or doesn't improve within the next couple of days then call a vet.

it could be. make sure he's staying hydrated and take him to the vet as soon as you can. if he gets worse call an er vet, your regular vet should have the number when you call their number. without seeing your dog no one on here is going to be able to tell you much and any meds you give might make things worse. good luck and take your pup to the vet.
