My 4 month old kitten likes to jump around the house, zoom around the couches and hide, make chirping noises, but when I bend down and even try to pet her, she bolts and runs. Only when she gets extremely tired will she come near me and allow me to pet her til she falls asleep. She also purrs at this time. But when it is playtime, my kitten has no interest in me and would rather go on rampages through the house on her own, ocassionally coming by me to attack my legs or bite my fingers. And whenever I call her name, she wont come to me and nuzzle, she will just sit and stare at me like she doesnt trust me or know if I am safe. I found this kitten orphaned in a sewer when she was less than a pound in weight and have done everything to help her and spoiled her immensely, but it seems like she doesnt care about me and just loves all these toys and cat houses of hers. Grr, whats up with that?

Once your kitten is spayed, she is likely to calm down and be more loving. (She should be spayed between 5-7 months old.)

Remember, she's like a child...and what 8 or 9 year old wants to snuggle with her parent all the time?

Relax! She's a kitten, they do that sort of thing. She'll calm down, just give her some time. It's natural for her to be a little skittish for a while. After all, look where you found her. When I got the 2 cats I have now, one was (still is) a very social kitten and came right up to me when I went to pick them out. The other took a couple of months to get her to the point she's at now (3 years later). Now she only runs and hides when someone she's never seen before comes into the house. So don't worry, she'll come around, it just takes time.

She's a kitten for goodness sake, my 11 year old cat still acts like that. Cats are independant ceatures. You dont own a cat . she owns you and will do what she pleases in the way of playing or cuddling...THANK YOU VERY MUCH. dont feel hurt by it. She takes you for granted right now. She'll slow down somewhat after you have her spayed . she is not too young. Queens can get pregnant any time after 4 months. Toms can be a little older.Try taking away some of her toys so she looks to you to play with and cuddle with

Firstly I want to thank you for saving this kitten, or she would have become feral and dangerous.

She is a kitten and that is what they do best, rampage through the house and ignore everyone. She knows that you are safe and comforting for her, or she would not come near you at all.

Be patient with her and she will come round soon enough in her own time and let you play with her.

Good Luck

She's a kitten, they are going to be extremely playful and inquisitive about their world. Cats are also quite willful and will do pretty much anything they want to do unlike most dogs. Don't spoil your kitten too much, because they can turn bratty. Allow your kitten to play and interact with you and her environment but do remember to teach her the basics i.e. where to go to the toilet, not to scratch furniture etc. which will require a little bit of authority.

I have a 7 or 8 month old kitten and he is still doing that. I think it's a normal kitten thing. I know he will calm down when I have him neutered. Have you had your kitten fixed yet? You might want to try that.

lol... live this up! In about a year or so you are going to be on here trying to figure out why your cat isn't running around so much and playing as much. She's a little one right now and her big plan is to play! Just try to spend as much time as you can with her... giver her treats now and then. And she should warm up to you. Good luck with the baby!

:-) yeah! they'd honestly mentally picturize u more effective wide than that description which u have given. they advise that u r evil/double confronted/jekyll & hyde style/a criminal/a wolf in sheep's outfits by way of nature! in easy words u appear as if a ordinary sweet human being yet in actual u r basically the option! even as honestly u r going grrrrrrrrrrrr in ur options u cope with to maintain a sweet purring /meow meow style of facade! :-)
