I don't think if is necessarilly TODAYs youth that is liberated. It is a natural cycle for all youth to have angst and rebel. It's perfectly natural. Back in the 60s there was the hippie movement and there was a small revival in the early 70s. Today, we have technological advances such as the internet and the cell phone which make rebelling all the more easier today, but that does not suggest that today's youth is more liberal than they were 10 years ago.

depends on what you mean by "liberated." youth have always been informed. just check out the old Andy Hardy movies from the 1930's and 1940's. if by liberated you mean the freedom to act out, then that's societies fault isn't it?
