(She can normally handle 6 shots) I wasn't there but i heard she kept getting very confused and kept vommitiming. No one took hurt to the hospital because she was underage for drinking. I guess when the people there told her they were going to take her to the hospital she kept saying she didn't want her mother to find out. Could that have been acochol poisoning?

NO. Alcohol poisoning is much worse. First is a black out, not passing out but a full on unconsious unable to wake black out. Then your body breaks out is spots because you elisit an immune responce to all the toxins (alcohol and alcohol by products in your system) You vomit profusly and can asperate and die.

What do you mean *only* six shots? That is a LOT of alcohol! And by the way it does not matter if she is underage or not, she should've gone to the hospital... better to explain to her mum that she's been drinking then why she's dead. It probably was alcohol poisoning, and even though you probably don't want to hear this, I am dead serious: there is a legal drinking age for a reason, and if people cannot follow it, that is just more proof that they are not mature enough to drink.

She needs to stop drinking NOW, not only because she could get alcohol poisoning and die, but also because she could get taken advantage of, drive drunk, ruin her liver, or develop alcoholism.

Please, if you are really her friend, tell her mother so that her mum can help her stop drinking. Even if it's "only" at parties and "only" six shots, that is a big problem. Your friend will be angry at first but her mum will be so greatful and so will your friend later.

Well, I wouldn't call it alcohol poisoning, because confusion and vommiting are things that happen when you have drunk too much. Actual poisoning is very serious. When you throw up, your body is preventing you from getting poisoned, so no, she wasn't actually poisoned.

Please note that she could have very easily been poisoned with that amount of alcohol. What is the deal with "only 6 shots"? Thats a lot! Especially for someone underage!

It doesn't sound like alcohol poisoning but more like she was just drunk. She needs to be more careful...getting drunk like that at a party can be really dangerous, for more reasons than just possible alcohol poisoning.

Oh, if the six shots were bacardi 151, yes, it could be alcohol poisoning.

Alcohol poisoning is actually just when you drink so much alcohol you pass out and your respiration becomes EXTREMELY depressed. As a result you pretty much stop breathing and suffocate unless taken to the hospital and intebated(sp?) to receive assisted breathing for a time. If she wasn't comatose, she didn't have alcohol poisoning.

Yes, but it also depends on how much she weighs, if she had anything to eat recently and if there is a chance someone could have drugged her.
