Not everyone HEARS the voice of God. And not everytime, does He used audible words. Sometimes he writes. Sometimes, it a different voice. God speaks to you in a language you will understand. For me, it's pictures and web pages. He leads you in directions without words, too. You will KNOW! The other night, I had the Warmness throughout my body that Christians feel when God walks through their bodies. I knew what was happening was the right thing.

Often we can't hear God because we aren't ready to hear what He has to say.You wouldn't have your 12 year old take the family car to the store to get a gallon of milk. But your 12 year old would probably like to do just that.Jesus before ascending told His disciples to go to Jerusalem and (wait) , now as the waited they continued in prayer and praising God in one accord , until that day came.Jesus also said Blesses are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness , for they shall be filled. There is much to do already so go out and do what you know to do and wait on the promise.God will always answer our questions in the appropriate time.

God speaks in many ways. Through circumstance, through audible voice but mostly it is hunch that people dismiss that is in fact God's voice. When a thought comes to you from God it is persistent and nagging until you address that issue. This is a deeper topic than Yahoo Answers caters for but God certainly speaks to His people.

You don't. God speaks in actions. For example if you pray for something that you want and you never get it then apaprently God has decided no. Or if you think you never got it but something else has changed in your life then God has believed that to be a better change for you than what you had asked for.

God will answer you if you cry out to him in Jesus Name. You can know him and his will and receive his spirit just by asking him. The bible is his Word so if you read his word you will know what is on his mind and then he sees you doing that by faith wanting to know him more , than he reveals himself by his spirit in your life by answering prayers and leading you into all truth. Go read John and see what Jesus is talking about, he is telling of a secret kingdom and his spirit!
