he said it might not be a good idea b/c she's not my type. I'm kinda on the quite side and I don't drink. He said that she told him that she likes party guys but she was really drunk when she said it so he doesn't really know if she cares. Should he still set us up?

Of course he should. You may not click but you will never know until you meet her. It might help if you double date with your friend and his lady. Go someplace that you would be comfortable. If the bar scene isn't for you, don't go there. Bowling is always fun. It is easy to keep up a conversation (or not) because there is a lot going on around you. If all goes well, stop for a bite to eat on the way home. If not, just take her home.

It cant hurt anything right? Worse case - you go out and you 2 dont like each other, the next day you move on with your lives. Best case you end up getting lucky and the next day you both move on with your lives.
