I'm not allergic to peanuts and spices. If I consume WAY TOO MUCH peanuts or spicy food then I'll develop a sore throat.

Peanuts are hard and can damage to airway or you could have a mild allergic reaction. Spicy food stimulates pain receptors which increases the mucus production. These cell also produce inflamatory mediators that can stimulate inflamation and damage the surrounding tissues.

An allergy is one thing but picky eating is another. You obviously have the choice to do whatever you'd like with your body, but just know that by depriving your body of the nutrients it needs to survive will only result in a shorter life and potential health risks down the road. Take care of yourself, especially when you're pregnant. Don't let your baby be at risk because you're picky. Nothing you mentioned is an awesome super food. That's what you need to be shooting for here. I weigh 15-20 pounds more than the "ideal" weight for my height, however, I also eat lots of fruits and vegetables and get exercise. It's possible that if you changed your diet a little you wouldn't carry that weight. Maybe if it's too tough to commit to changing your whole diet, incorporate at least 2 healthy foods into your day. Eat a little bag of almonds for a snack, some carrots and broccoli at lunch, or some wild rice. It will make a difference. Best wishes!

Oooh, go get allergy tests!!! Especially for the peanuts, because peanut allergies are serious.

I think that a lot of people can get sore throats from spicy food, though. Spicy food is ROUGH on your body. Some people can't handle it.

You might be allergic to the peanuts .. and possibly something in the spicy food. I'd stop eating peanuts, as a peanut allergy can be deadly.
