Well im a catholic and i love the lord very much and i go to CCE a catholic school and i masturbate and im kinda scared if it is because i always pray to the lord everyday.So is it a sin cause i really dont wanna stop.

Larry do whatever you want. If you believe it's a sin, then ask god for forgiveness. Masturbation, while some feel shameful, is the only complete way to protect yourself from STD's.

MASTURBATION IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE TO BE A SIN...PEOPLE. Get your facts straight before advising people.
The bible does not mention masturbation to be a sin. There are versus that talk about cleansing yourself and your clothes..etc..if you should get semen on or around you.
It's a sin to rub yourself and then touch someone without cleaning yourself..While the versus might say cleanse yourself for 7 days...I think today a good shower and some soap is fine.

Leave the Catholic Church, they are evil, they don't promote Bible reading or Bible study, they've burned so many Bibles in the past and even outlawed it until about 30 years ago. Obviously so because of instead of asking here then you would have looked it up in the Bible. No, it is ok to masturbate... it is in fact a perfectly normal and healthy thing to do, and although few admit it, almost everyone (male and female) does it.
I mean the catholic church does count it as a sin, but they're very strict about everything, with all due respect. What does god care if you pleasure yourself?

Yes, it is a sin. But masturbation is widely scientifically reported as something normal, part of human sexuality. Almost all mammals do masturbate so, I should think of it as a bad thing.
You have to remember that the church is a very olhd institution with very old concepts. Science now show us that masturbation is no bid deal, it is actually healthy. Make you feel better.

NO ! It is not a sin to love your own body. The bible says nothing about masturbation. If you think of it as a sin you are living in darkness.

My boyfriend says that the act isnt bad but what youre thinking or watching when you do it is a sin. However he kept doing it up until he was 23 when he met me. I didnt make him stop, but he felt that his desires changed. You'll find a girl that ll make you feel the same way too.

Its not mentioned in the bible as a sin. I think everyone says its wrong because of what you fantazise about while you do it. Those thoughts could get you in trouble.

In the religion it is looked down upon, but in society it is, or SHOULD be regarded as okay, because it is healthy to masturbate.
