I know this sounds somewhat strange from a guy, but Pure Valley lotion with shea butter works great. (I have persistently dry skin on my feet and have had to experiment myself a lot.)

i think of i might have an identical challenge. I as quickly as went to a dermatologist and that they did a punch biopsy (incredibly took a skin pattern) and that they instructed me I even have dermatitis. They stated there is not any treatment and to apply regardless of cream works for me. This became some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in the past. Do you discover that it is worse (the reddest) once you get out of the bathe? cuz it incredibly is for me. I plan on goin back to a distinctive Dermatologist to get a 2nd opinion. For now i take advantage of Aveeno and it seems to artwork noticeably good. some days you may not often see any flakey or purple skin yet different days no remember what I attempt it is totally undesirable.

If you are flaking and have red marks you may have a skin condition called ezema. A perscription can help.

If it's just dry skin, try coating the area with Crisco shortning or Vaseline- for real! and cover it with cotton material. this works best overnight. See if it helps! Good luck.

I had real dry skin like that when my thyroid went. The only thing that I found to work was Jerkins healing cream for extremely dry skin.

You may be lacking zinc. A friend of mine works for a ?spa place? and she told me that clients there with any kind of skin condition (i.e. psoriasis) are encouraged to take a zinc suppliment because there isn't enough in a regular multi-vitamin. Worth a shot anyway- I need to get some myself!

you need lots of fluid intake. make sure your body soap provides optimum moisture. try botanical products that contain essential oils like aloe and jojoba. protect yourself against the sun's rays by using a sunscreen that also locks moisture in your skin.

Go see a dermatologist. They'll find out what exactly the problem is, what's causing it, and they'll give you what you need.
