I really don't know... It's very strange that people are saying God exists and are worshipping him. I find it hard to believe some religion that has so many flaws making it very unbelieveable.
Please take for instance. I had a Catholic program running at my school a few years back. The teacher said 'God forgives and forgets,' But then why would these things such as Tsunamis happen?! And on Boxing Day too! Not only that the Bible... It's a book that Catholics stick too and look up to for help. I think It's because they want something/someone telling them rules. I don't know why this is. Not only that but the people who wrote the Bible (Correct me if I'm wrong) were the same people that thought the Earth was flat... I know Catholics are allowed to have their beliefs and so am I.
So I believe if God did exist then he would just be playing puppets with us. Having fun like a 3 year old girl that plays with her little Barbies. Sorry if I have offended anyone. It's just what I believe in.

It is really what I believe in. I'm not rubbing it in or anything that Cahtolics believe in God. They have every right to. It's just to over-rated and too much controlability over many, many people. What was really wrong with what I said... Hmm?

When you compare the Christian god with the gazillions of other gods out there, he fits right in: most of the gods I've read about didn't meet up to their follower's expectations and most had some serious flaws. That Achilles! What a heel!

Actually reasoning out these thing will produce nothing but confusion. Believing in god comes fro the knowing him on personal terms which can only be achieved by accepting jusus into your heart by an act of faith. There is no offense taken here because I used to be the same way. Try asking jesus to come into your heart and live in you then his existance will be real to you and then thing will be in a better perspective. You can learn a lot about him in the bible. Remember this one thing knowing god and getting answers has nothing to do with what other people say or do.

I'll explain some things to you, with hopes of giving you some understandings.
Gods and Goddesses have always existed. The placing of faith in any of them is completely up to you. It has always been this way. It can not change. Each living person has the rite to place a god or goddess in their life, or not to place a deity in their life.
Religions are governing bodies. They teach people to place faith in a deity. It is the task of religions to control the minds of the flock.
If you control the minds the bodies will follow like sheep to a shepherd. Constantine for instance had a huge flock that believed in so many different deities that he could not control them.
There were warnings written by the Elden Tian, Sain and others that stated in fact, that if the heard grows to big you can not watch it. If the clan (tribe) grows so big you can not watch it. You are to split the clan in two and save both.
Constantine could not do it. He could not break up his civilization. He chose then to "re-legion" his people under one god so that all minds thought alike and all peoples could be controlled. Religion is honestly an ancient control mechanism. His city of Constantinople became the most powerful and well defended city on earth. Through God and Faith his city was incredible.
The warnings of the Elden were not heeded and the flock got even larger. The family had no idea of the laws or holding to the laws because of Religion. The laws say to replace your footprint. Have one child to replace yourself. Couples should have only two children. The phrase "go forth and multiply" was taken as "make babies" and the Elden laws were dropped.
Now here, (in this time) we live with mouths that can not be fed. Under One God. The One God has by his own error allowed people to do what ever they wanted so that he could have followers(free will was abused) Re-legion became the practices of "Religion" and those hard fought controls over the minds of the masses have led us to folly.
The Elden warned of having an over sized population. Now here we are with three primary religions and very little faith. Man has no faith in man. Man has little hope in tomorrow. Man has lost himself in a sea of man.
Live the life given you and follow the Elden laws and Nothing will harm you. "Beware the over population of this Earth. For as the sheep and cows and creatures of the heard do feed you. So shall you feed others."
Religion has changed everything and my dear dear children, this priest feels we are about to see the errors of it's ways.
Hold strong to your faith. Your faith can defend you. Listen to the voice of your Spirits and Not to the Voices of men. Men lead, Spirits seek. Which is better?

Fascination. It's like people who look for the Loch Ness monster. They are so invested in this myth that they don't want to live in a universe without the Loch Ness monster. As for religion, it tells the ultimate fantasy of a savior, of the supernatural. Too make a long story short, life can be unbearably mediocre and boring without devotion, and religion is single-handedly the most available form of devotion.

Good for you kid but you don't have to stick it in their face. You didn't have a strong enough argument to convince even me and I am an Atheist. If you really do believe what you say and are not just blowing smoke to impress yourself. Help us find that missing link. We have it narrowed down to a mans rib bone now. Do you have any ideas? OO

well, consider it this way. if three thousand years ago somebody believed the earth was something other than flat, it probably would not be because they were incredibly intelligent, it would probably be because they are incredibly stupid. people believe the earth is round today only because we have new instruments that give us empirical evidence telling us that it is. three thousand years ago when all of the empirical evidence available indicated that the world is indeed flat, you might want to suspect somebody's sanity if they said it was not.

i strongly believe that God exists, i was a "lukewarm" Christian for quite awhile, but i just finished a non-biased worldviews class, we studied all the major worldviews, and Christianity makes so much more sense now, and is much more backed up than any other religion, you just have to study to back up your faith

You are right to question that which you do not understand. The important thing is to always question and always sincerely seek. Only in this way will truth be delivered.
Many blessings to you ...
