If so, how would you respond to someone who said that there were internal contradictions in the Bible (e.g., places where the Bible contradicts itself)?

The Bible is the infallible, 100%, Word of God. There are no contradictions and questions raised would be answered in their context. By this I mean that what appears to be a contradiction is not, when read in the context of the said scriptures.

Seeing as that there are hundreds of translations of the bible, some observe for observe translations from the unique language, some "interpretations" - what bible "pupils" think of this or that passage particularly potential, and because we do no longer particularly comprehend what colloquialisms there have been 5000 years in the past - No. The bible isn't perfect. it rather is genuine that blunders are minor. while the official bible of the Holy See replaced into as much as date by potential of way of the oldest complete scrolls got here across in the caves of Qumran, the edits have been minimum. yet nonetheless, the Jerusalem Bible - the unique version - keeps to be a paintings of paintings. The Douay Rheims Bible is a observe for observe translation of the Greek. Translators left foggy paragraphs as they have been, with the perception that the Holy Spirit might help us in know-how. the two certainly one of those proceed to be my favorites for learn. evaluate the two to the good information Bible. The variances are many. Eons in the past, every physique copying a scroll had the risk of dying over their head for the tiniest blunders. Do a seek in any seek engine for "bible errata" and characteristic your self a good snicker. between the very terrific bibles available keeps to be fairly plenty unknown. The Peshitta is a translation from Syriac Aramaic. it rather is the closest ingredient any people can get. working example the passage, ' that's much less stressful for a camel to bypass in the process the attention of a needle.' curiously the interest for rope and camel is comparable. The Syriacs talk a dialect of Aramaic. meaning they comprehend historical Aramaic extra perfect than others. So the Peshitta reads ' that's much less stressful for a rope to bypass by using a needle.' yet this does not mean the bible could desire to be ignored. It merely potential you are able to desire to no longer rely on one translation. comprehend what they are. comprehend the place they got here from. something with "usual" in the identify is an "version" of the unique English usual Bible - which grew to develop into the King James version after the Puritans edited it. What says Bible, inclusive of New American Bible is a clean translation. What says version is an version of an unique translation.

Absolutely NOT. There are too many versions of the Bible (ie King James Version, New World, New International...) The Bible has been changed so many times over the centuries and books have been removed. If we could find the ORIGINAL Bible, I would be more likely to believe it.

ROTHFLMAO

Heck no. Its full of errors and fairy stories, and contradictions.

lets see - two versions of creation, two versions of the 10 commandements as already mentioned, Oh I know - my favourite.

two different genealogies for Jesus (yeah, yeah I hear the christians say one was from Mary and was one from Joseph.
So does that mean that JOSEPH actually was Jesus' biological father?
IF you say yes then he was a human and all of christianity is a fake.
IF no then the bible tells lies for including a genealogy that is false.

nope because there is no way to get a perfect translation from the original texts, just look at japanese to english ( two of the hardest languages) they can be easily butchered translating one to the other
