Boo, you don't find the right person in high school. Almost nobody does that. People date, but I'd say that a fraction of a percent of the relationships that start in high school make it long-term. Wait until later. Besides, in high school you can't really date unless you are a person of uncommon resources. Adults date by asking others out on DATES, where they do stuff. If they enjoy each other's company enough, they agree to become boyfriend and girlfriend, and so on. In high school, people date by just going right into the bf/gf step. That's not a wise move, because they barely know each other.

Find the right person is difficult anywhere, but I'd say it's almost impossible in high school. You shouldn't ignore nice guys who like you, but you shouldn't be dating seriously until you get into college. You might find a guy who you will date seriously in high school, but it's not an ideal time to be doing that. Gee, I think I would have turned out a lot better and healthier if I hadn't worried so much about girls in high school. I'm 21 now, and I'm still not sure that I want to start dating. I'm still in college and I have a couple of years to go, and I'm afraid that dating would be too difficult with my living situation and cramped schedule. Good night!

You may not meet the right person until you are in college or working. Sure you can keep trying to meet people, but also make sure you are developing your own interests and finding the things that make you happy. Then when you find the right person, you will have a lot to talk about and impress them with.

No. You shouldn't be 'trying' anyway. The right person will come when the time is right and when you are not trying. Maybe the right person is not at your high school. I met my husband two days after I gave up, but I was twenty years old.

You're only in high school... just chill out over guys. Most guys are total idiots in high school. Generally speaking, all they know is what their hormones tell them.

Just enjoy your friends and if you do meet a great guy, then go for it. Generally, the best way to find a special someone is to quit looking. I can't explain why that is, but I know it happened to me.

Why is finding the right person in high school important? You are not going to marry this person. You will both go your separate way when college looms. If you find the "right person" you will only have to go into withdrawals when he gets drafted and you get transferred to Tibet. Get on with getting educated and the rest falls into place.

Very fortunately, I didn't try. I figured, "If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen." The right person for me came to me. We have been going out for 9 months and I love him to death. I don't know what I'd do without him. So my advice: don't give up hope or faith, but don't look too much either. It will happen when it is supposed to happen.

your question really captivates my heart.....it sounds like you're hurt or something...anyways..in my opinion..most highschoolers like me keep on trying no matter how hard it gets....we really need someone who will really love us and cares for us and most of us wants an opposite sex. it just makes us feel good. It's really a nice feeling...though when you're heart is broken...it hurts a lot..........!!!!!!!!
