It kind of happened about 2 years ago with my cousin. I wouldn't call her a fanatic but she went hardcore Christian and she talks about it a lot. I'm a bit uncomfortable with it but it seems to be making her very happy. She knows not to push it on us though. I let her know that I'm not into the whole 'church thing' but I refuse to argue with her even when she says things I disagree with. I try to stay neutral.

Same as if a coworker or friend became a fanatic religious nut: avoid them at all costs.

I have been there. The best way to handle it is to be open minded to their feelings and thoughts and let them know where you stand in your believes. there does not need to be a war on the subject. but you need to be supportive and just let them find the way that is comfortable for them.

A lot of them already are. We debate during reunions. I enjoy irritating them.
