Legal immigrants have health checks to come here, illegals don't...........

TB outbreaks afflicted schoolteachers and children in Michigan & Texas. The teachers and kids caught it at school from coughing children of Illegal Aliens. In Minnesota, policemen suddenly came down with MDR-TB. The cops caught it in their patrol cars when they arrested Illegal Aliens who coughed in their faces. Recently TB erupted in Portland, Maine, and Del Ray Beach, Florida.
The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81% of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants.Apparently 66% of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines, and Viet Nam.
Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states. There are leprosy clinics in New York City. Illegal Aliens & other immigrants brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean & Mexico.

No my opinion would not change, this is one of the main reasons I am against illegal immigration, Legal immigrants go thru the correct process and has their medical screenings and criminal back ground checks. ILLEGAL aliens could care less about these procedures, not caring who they affect.

I don't think half the people answering her question understood the word ILLEGAL she is not saying all mexicans. She is saying ILLEGAL the ones that jump over our boarder while our boarder patrol stand around watching and talking to there boarder patrol friends. Wake up this is america. We have immigration laws and all of a sudden those laws have been thrown out the window. I have no problem with a mexican coming into this country legally to work and do whatever they desire just so they pass there health screenings and education requirements and those important factors. Im so tired of hearing so many people defend immigration and our sorry *** president. What makes me even sicker is to think that us the american people were so stupid to vote his *** in the second time around. After everything he lied to us about and with no advangement in a 3 year war. Thank God we have democrates in house and senate now we might get something done about the war and immigration.


and on second thought...... when mexicans come into this country legally wether it is to be a tourist or what not they are all health screened. So the person that said that your stupid. No it would not make a difference to me because if the government does not want them here they would not be here. If you have all of that proof I think it is your responsibility to take it up to the White House and make sure it is given to your President. Can you tell me why the Democrats just got elected if so many of you are against illegal immigration did any of you vote? And if you did why did you vote Democratic from what I know they will be more lenient on illegal immigration.

Exactly! That is why we do have an immigration process. Several LEGAL immigrants go through this process and are screened for a reason. TB and so many other reason why illegal aliens should not be given amnesty; just because they are already here. I don't care, deport them. Cost is always brought up; I don't care, infectious diseases are on the tip of the ice burg on why illegals don't deserve anymore from the American people.

Some illegal immigrant may have TB and some don't. So the legal status is not the problem. The school system and the laws that allows illegal immigrants to enter our schools are at fault. In California, legal citizenship is not a requirement to attend. So where does the real problem lie?

The US border town health dept tracks down illegals to give them tb meds,using our tax dollars, including going to local bars to find their hangouts to convince them to finish their regimen, betcha didn't know that!!

would your stand on immigration change if i told you your family immigrated here from a country like England where many people died in the 1800's from many very bad diseases like small pox and many more plagues that killed many American Indians in this country,we brought it here simply because we didn't know we had it,humanity is unjust if i refuses to aid others in this world in the cure for sickness,to say it is only the sickness for a race other than yours is some what arrogant to say the least,I've been American for around 40 years as well my ex wife is American, she was a home health care giver that's her work, older people gave her T,B and none of them where Latino, so you are part of a large and growing crowed of people who speak out from within a glass house on facts of the real world in which you no nothing about, you must be part of our government.

I am already as anti-illegal immigration as I think I can be and if my child caught TB because of illegal immigration, this would only serve to make me even more angry. I have, in fact, heard this many times in the news before now - that illegals are bringing back diseases that we had gotten rid of many years ago and, in fact, they are bringing back new medication-resistant strains of TB. This is just another in the long list of reasons why we have to stop allowing illegal immigration and deport all illegals in the US currently and stop even hinting at another possible amnesty. NO AMNESTY! DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS! SEAL THE BORDERS! ENFORCE OUR CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAWS!
