I am a Christian and when I had emergency surgery, I woke up with my Muslim friend holding my hand, crying and praying to Allah for my healing.
I was really very touched. I love her to death, even if we don't agree on our saviors.

I was raised in a Christian setting and can't really say that no one has done anything for me since I left (none of my old friends, none of my family, none of my old chruch)... They have done nice things, but the whole time they hoped that I would change and stop being the me that makes me happy because it was 'not right' and it nullified everything nice they did for me in 'love'.
i do remember once when I was 14, I was a Christian then and I knew this guy, he was some relgion that didn't eat certain meats, he was east indian. I remember we got along really good and accepted each other... in fact, come to think of it, we never tried to convert each other or even hoped each other would change. We never thought of each other as lost, just as on a different journey... that is nice... I wish the people of my past could give that to me

The kindest thing someone of a different religion did for me was to patiently and calmly answer my obnoxious, sarcastic, belittling questions about his religion and not pretend all religions are equally valid. He was Catholic, and I was a very anti-Catholic Deist. I wanted to destroy his faith, so I studied Catholicism more and more to find some dirt I could use for that purpose. Every time I thought I found something, he had a good explanation for it. Eventually, I became convinced that Catholicism was the One True Faith, and I converted. God bless that man for helping bring me into the Church Christ Himself founded!
