Semidaemonium, since it corresponds best to semideus (the dictionary term for half-god)

Daemon and daemonium are both used for demon. But I think that daemonium is more used for demon (evil spirit), while daemon is more neutral (spirit, daimon) In the Latin Bible, "daemonium" - in singular - is used much more often than "daemon" for what we call demon. Example: Matthew 17:17: "Et increpavit ei Iesus et exiit ab eo daemonium et curatus est puer ex illa hora = And Jesus rebuked him, and the devil went out of him, and the child was cured from that hour."

I have to remember to check regularly if you've asked any questions from now on, you keep surprising me. :P Yes, I imagined Blair, George Bush has to much of a distinctly Texan accent, he'd be anachronistic in a story that takes place in England....and Bush to me seems more like the predecessor. I would definitely imagine him threatening to throw someone out the window, if they went on about being the head of a secret magical government of witches and wizards. "Now see here I don't know who's idea of a joke this is, but unless you want me to kick your rear out the window, you'll get it out of my office. I ain't got time for silly high school pranks" :P Hypothetically speaking if the HP world were real then, Bush along with almost every other world leader would know of the wizarding world. Since every country would have a magical community and it's likely they'd be let into the secret for security purposes....Something to think about. Also Blair is the closest Prime Minister to match, HP's not so accurate in muggle politics' time line. Since he became minister in the May of 97 and, that chapter in HPB takes place in the summer of 96, but still it's a fictional world no need, for technicalities. (Clinton was the U.S' president at the time though, ah ok I'll stop now :P)

semidaemon

I use a Classical Latin dictionary - the Bible is Ecclesiastical Latin, which was written hundreds of years after the Classical period. The language had some changes in vocabulary and grammatical structure during that time. It is somewhat comparable to the differences between Shakespeare and modern English. Daemon is a Classical word.

dimidium daemon or semidaemon
(daemonium is genitive while in this context the proper case of the noun is the nominative)
