Some Muslims put the Hadith (literally translated as "Stories") right below the Quran. But as a Muslim who studies
history, I know that Hadiths were collected 200 years after the Death of Prophet Muhammad. So to me Hadiths are hearsay.
I only follow hadiths that are confirmed by the Quran. If its not of the Quran, i believe it is not of the Prophet.

So some Muslims regard Hadiths "or Stories" as a revelation or authentic way of the prophet, but others follow them only when they are backed by the Quran.

Bukhari worked 16 years collecting over 600,000 hadiths, interviewed over a 1000 people, and ended up only choosing a little over 7000 hadiths. There is a story where Bukhari traveled into the mountains to find this guy who had a bunch of hadiths, when he saw the guy was tricking an animal, he just left, because he didn't want to deal with anyone who wasn't straight. Hadith sciences are a matter of great study and scholarship in Islam.

It is essentially an elaboration of the Qur'anic verses that shows how they are to be implemented in one's daily life ALLthe true muslims agree about that

Quran is the only book which we beleive without any doubt !!, though some hadith books are taken to be authentic but ofcourse not 100%, as there can be doubt about the authenticity of the hadith.
