from scratch. little russet potatoes (red potatoes) mashed up really coarsely with fresh garlic and basil, a little bit of milk and pepper. yeah i love giada from food network.

I love my own, which are made from scratch and a few secret ingredients. However, there is a restaurant in Columbus, OH that has the most delicious garlic mashed potatoes.

A restaurant in Toluca Lake, California named Mo's makes the best mashed potatoes. They are red-skinned mashed potatoes mashed together with spices, garlic, and sour cream. They are a specialty of the house and usually served with brunch. I order the Potato Mo's with Eggs Benedict and endless mimosas.

From scratch, its so easy. Microwave in a covered bowl, with 1/2 cup of water and a little salt, pref unpeeled, until soft enough. Drain any remaining water, add a generous nob of butter and some cracked pepper, mash with a fork or masher. If it needs liquid, a little milk or cream is best. Good now, or for a final touch, add some grated cheese and finely diced fresh tomato and red onion.

I think everyone agrees we all just need to go make mashed potatoes right now....talk about comfort food. Okay, my Mom makes the best--always homeade, and her gravy is to die for.....it's 4:00 in the morning here and I'm going to make mashed potatoes because of this conversation.....geez......

cook small yellow potatoes with skin on ,cook with onions
after add butter and spices and milk. and using an electric beater.
