Is this normal or should I go to the ER?

You are having an allergic reation. Take Benadryl immediately, if you have it, and call 911 to go to the ER - you could stop breathing, and the medics are equipped to treat you if you get worse.

Oh my gosh!!! The same thing happened to me last year. I had this extreme itching in one spot and then I was burning and itching everywhere I had no idea what was going on with me, it was excruciating. And I was scratching myself like crazy and I felt like I wanted to faint and I could hardly breath, my throat was so bad. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to a bug bite but I was wrong, it was just a chemical imbalance in my body which has no reason to why it happens. But you could be having an allergic reaction to something. When I went to the e.r. the doctor told me that if I was having difficulty breathing you should always go to the e.r ASAP. So this is something serious, you need to go to the e.r. ASAP.

i would go to the er just in case
its better to be safe
or maybe just call a doctor to make sure its not something that can just be blown off but usually when people break out in hives the go to the hospital

You need to go to the ER. Your throat may be swelling up, and that is why you feel like you need to clear it.

Sounds like you are having an allergic reaction....If you can't breathe then go to the ER, If you can, take some benidryl & go to your Dr. when he is open

you need to go to the ER...you're probably having an allergic reaction to something you ate..get to the ER

Have someone take you to the er and before you go if you have any benedryl sp? take it, it helps counteract a allergic reaction.

allergic reation. anti histamine like benadryl from the drug store. if it's bad go to the hospital or call an ambulance.

you are definitely allergic to something. get it checked before your body goes into shock (it's happened to my husband)
