No. Some might consider that a "limitation" of the power of God, but it's a limitation of mathematics. It has to make sense. If 1+1=72, there would be no mathematics (or a lot of other things).

Consider, God suddenly makes all red things green. Seems simple enough. But nothing IS red or green, it just absorbs and reflects differing frequencies of light. To make all red things green, God would have to change the molecular configuration of every "red" object, thereby modifying its physical, chemical and biological properties. Or he could just make us all see red AS green, but that would just be changing the labels.

72 is not an object but an abstraction, a relationship to 1. We could call 2 "72" but then we'd have to call 72 something else. The essence wouldn't change, any more than "making" pi equal 3 would change the realationship between radiuses and circumferences of circles.

If you're going to have a creator and an orderly universe, the creator must "obey" the "laws" of that orderly universe. Otherwise, it's not an orderly universe. It's not like a tyrant saying he made the laws so he can break them. It's saying this is how the universe works. It's reality.

Too bad. God could sure convince lot of people that way. But it's just not possible.

Absolutely...He can do everything he likes. Even the settings of your brain that makes you think it is 2. What if God will change the settings of all the human brains to think that 1+1=72, then everybody in this world will think that 1+1=2 is wrong. And you don't have to ask that question.

He can do it in the spiritual realm ...which then can translate into the natural....like taking 5 loaves and two fishes and feeding 5000 + people......hmmm 5 + 2 = 5000+...yes I believe he can...if it brings him glory..also in the spiritual realm he can do that with time....like a day being a thousand years...and a thousand years equaling 1 day...the meaning of that ..is simple ...time has no relevancy to God ..because it was not created for him...but for man...

I believe this is the basis of faith...

God has a way of confounding the wisdom of man....

One thing I know for a fact he will not go against ...is his word...it will come to pass
