My favorite to fly domestically is Delta skymiles elite, Virgin Atlantic Airways internationally. I choose my carriers based on the amenities provided.

I LOVE delta. It is the only airline I fly with. The staff is efficient and courteous and it is just a great airline all the way around.

It is difficult to say I have one favourite airline on cross Atlantic flights then it is either Virgin Atlantic or BA - never an American line. In Europe Baby bmi - a good low cost line.
In Asia where I live always Singapore International Airlines. Their service is superb, the in-flight entertainment is excellent with a great choice, and in Business Class the amenities are excellent.
