Well you might have seen a brush or some kind of extension popping out on the underside of the cd surface..Well when you do put this in to your DVD player there maybe either video or Audio on the medium and some of them have voice guide or video guides and what basically happens is that you either have to change a track mostly next and then the DVD lens comes in contact with the brush and so the brush removes the dust and stuff of the lens...
