if the Angels prevent one rape, one robbery...then they've accomplished their goal.

Yes, I cant understand your question either but I shall attempt anyway.
The guardian angels are a band of people who believe in patrolling the streets on their own because the police force do not have the man power to patrol all the time.
There is not enough taxpayers money to provide 24 hrs of patrolling everywhere.
The GA's are volunteers, sort of another notch above Neighborhood Blockwatch or volunteer police force.
You are saying theres 2 of the guardian angels. Two in a huge city with millions of residents?
I think these people are the type who would be the first to leave or never even volunteer to patrol if there is no more need for them.
The best use for them is their ability to draw attention to the needs of the police force. The city councils or whoever is in charge of police budget will be shamed into putting more resources for the police force.
Keep on complaining about the Guardian angels until your citys PD gets a few more members.
