Ok here's the scoop...I am 20 and this woman is 28, but looks much younger. She happens to be my teacher at the college I go to. I first gave her guitar lessons outside of class, and then we started watching movies together at her house once in a while. She seems to be insecure with herself, but I've come to like her a lot as a person. I want her to know how I feel, but I don't want to freak her out either. Oh, and for Christmas I gave her a rose with a little present, so hopefully that hinted at something. How do I let her know I want to be with her??

Dude, dont mean to be rude or nasty but the best way is to just suck it up and ask her. Let me ask you a question. How many times in life have you wondered what would have or could have happened if you would have asked or talked to a girl. They dont bite and the worst that can happen is she will say no. So what!!! At least you will then know where you stand. I'm telling you from experience. The best approach is a straight forward HONEST approach. We are all afraid of rejection but I personnally would rather be told no than to wonder if it could have ever been. She's obvioously like you or she wouldnt hang out. Now its up to you to see if shes interested in more than friendship. I say go for it!!!

Well one thing is that if she's your teacher... it's illegal for her to date you while you're in her class so ya, wait till you're done with that or see how she feels and transfer out of there if you guys do want to hook up. If you're giving her lessons and watching movies at her house then you should be able to tell by now if she's interested. I dont know how big her couch is, but if it's big and she sits on one side and you then sit on the other... try to get there first and see if she sits by you or away from you. If that doesn't work, wait till she gets up and steal her seat, when she comes back make sure to laugh at her and point out what you did. Chances are if she feels the same as you, she'll either sit on top of you or right next to you. Last resort, get up and offer to get some popcorn or something and bring it back and sit right next to her "so she can share" and after it's gone, set the bowl on the floor, sit back and just toss your arm around her. Worse case scenario, you'll have to move lol.

I would suggest just being honest tell her you are glad you are friends but you are beginning to have feelings for her and wanted to know if you should put the breaks on so not to spoil the friendship or if there is a chance she may feel something more than friendship for you.
And if so would she be interested in going out on a real date.
Also remember some colleges have rules about faculty dating students so you may want to check the rules on that.Don't want her to lose her job.
Good luck.

How about you ask her out to dinner or to a movie at your house and then give her a rose and chocolates with a box or envelope and on a note say "A Date?" Thats How I Asked My Current GF out. She loved it!

Be cute. Write a "would you go out with me?" note, check yes or no format. Being a teacher, she'd appreciate the humor...and there is no way I could say no to that.

Truly you have nothing to fear... She obviously is attracted to you, otherwise she would never have asked you over to watch movies. I don't think you have to worry about asking her out, just move in for a kiss next time you're on her couch with her.

wait until you're out of her class for the semester, then write a song with her in it asking her out, and play it during her lesson.

"hey *****, did you get my rose?", maybe not , but add some humor. It'll go much smoother.
