becomes wobbly, uppity, stares off, stumbles on herself, sort of if she is drunk. I am not alarmed enough to take her to the vet because she interacts, plays, and runs with my other dog. [She is fully up to date on all shots, etc and is seen by a vet regularly] She acts really random and previously, she slept it off and was normal in the morning. Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading.

Toybreed dogs are prone to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). They can die from this. If your dog is otherwise healthy, get and have Nutrical handy; you can get it at Petsmart or Petco or about any petstore. Give your puppy about an inch long strip after playing or when you observe this behavior. You can also give your puppy some mini marshmallows. Keep food down so your dog can eat more; what is happening is you dog plays or whatever and uses up all the energy in their body. There is alot of info on the web about it. See a vet.

We have a small dog in our family and he experienced a few of those symptoms along with muscle spasms and basically what amounted to seizures.

After first time it happened, we took our dog to the vet and he was diagnosed with doggie Epiliepsy. This is a serious condition in little dogs especially.

They can have an episode and be fine the next day exactly as you have described. The only remedy is to take your dog to a good Vetrinary and tell them. Most likely if the doctors agree its seizures, he will most likely be put on a small dose of Phenabarbitol (not sure if that spelled right). That has solved our little angel's problems.

Good luck. But PLEASE take your dog in to get seen, before something bad happens!

Let me guess...your dog starts kind of slightly shaking while moving her head in kind of like a figure eight. And definately like you said acting like she is drunk. It definately sounds like she has epilepsy, or seizures. My chihuahua, although he is older, does the exact same thing. Also, she might try to run and hide after she acts this way, almost acting embarrassed. You need to take your dog to the vet but really there is nothing you can do. Your dog probably has epilepsy. Don't worry though. My chihuahua is about 6 years old and still healthy other than that.

She may be having mild epileptic seizures, or a neurolgical disorder. She really needs to have some tests run, and will probably need to be on medication.
If it is epilepsy, she could have Grand Mal seizures, which you need your vet to tell you how to help her when she does.
This time, do be alarmed, and take her to a vet.
Her condition sounds so much like a greyhound I had years ago who had epilepsy. He had small seizures every day, and grand mal seizures every week. This doesn't mean that she has epilepsy, but it really needs to be ruled out to be sure.
Also, she could have vertigo, which is also treatable.
Call the vet and have some tests run.

Best to you and your dog.

I know a couple of Chihuahuas that have hypoglycemia, what your dog is doing sounds suspiciously similar. Their owners give them just a little honey, say a teaspoon, and they are normal again, but I would sure check with the vet to make sure. He or she may need to see the dog while this is going on in order to properly diagnose.

Like others said there is a possibility of hypoglycemia.
I thought thought that you should read up on it.

This site also has other great articles on chis that may benefit you. If the added sugar in her diet doesn't help then take her to the vet because it is obviously more serious.

Inner ear infection!!!! Equilibrium is out of wack...GET HER TO A VET! You might not be alarmed, but I'm sure the dog is concerned!!! It may be a sign of something very severe.

sounds like seizures, your dog could have epilepsy. Hypoglycemia can be associated with seizures as well. Consult the vet ASAP
