Is sex over rated in your opinion?

i wanna wait but, seems like everyone is doing it and i want to also so i want some advice please.

Okay...here's the real deal! You wanna know about sex?
Sex can be highly overrated. Whereas I would never recommend waiting for marriage...which I'll get into later, it's something that you should wait for.
First, you should always wait until you're of an age that if a pregnancy comes about, you are old enough and mature enough and financially stable enough to handle it. (ie: at least 18 but older would be better and you have to have a job)
Second, it shouldn't be with just some crush or guy you've only been dating for a short while. You should wait until both of you are in a place in your relationship that sex would be advisable.
(I did it for the first time with a guy I'd just been dating for a month, and he dumped me soon thereafter, it crushed me. Sex, especially for the first time, will make you emotionally vulnerable.)
Third, even though I said to wait, don't wait for marriage. The idea of it sounds very noble but every lover is completely different. Do you really want to be stuck married to a guy that you are completely incompatible with sexually? I say you should have at least three lovers in before you even consider marriage.

Okay, SEX. It's basically like this: The media shows you this dramatically sexy deed between two people. The first time I did it, I was like "that's it?" Sex for the first time isn't going to be good. It takes practice, that's why I said to wait until you're in a stable relationship, because it takes practice to get good at it. Make sure before you do it, you both go to the doctor and get checked out and tested for diseases. You should also go to a family planning clinic and get on or at least get information for birth control, and USE IT!!! Use two forms at least. Condoms and spermicidal gel are good together, trust me, you have to use good protection. Sex will put you on an emotional roller coaster enough without doubts about pregnancy, now imagine the craziness if you think you might get preggo or a disease or death?

Be smart, be educated and go into things with your eyes wide open!

Depends on your age. Sex is awesome, but only given freely and with full knowledge of the consequences. It isn't something to do because everyone else is doing it.... My daugher was recently sad because all her friends are married with babies (she is in college). A year later they are all breaking up and she is fine and happy. Are you picking up what I'm putting down?

Yes: It is over rated as far as what it means. Without the relationship that accompanies it and by that I mean marriage then it is overated and actually can and most of the time is disappointing.
I abhor you to wait. Trust me you will appreciate your husband and he you much more.

Personally I think most sex is overrated. Its only in a committed deeply loving relationship that it can be so powerful and meaningful that it's amazing. Just doing it to do it, it loses it's magic.

Absolutely! Keep waiting. If you do it now you will be sorely disappointed. Please wait until marriage. At your young age the boys just do NOT know what they are doing. They will only please themselves and not you. Honestly, it's not worth it. Now, in marriage, it just keeps getting better and better.
