My mean concern is to get me driver's license. What's the process like? Who do I need to contact? I've been in the U.S. for 7 years and 3 or my girls are U.S. Citizens.

You must be feeling Proud for getting away with breaking United States Immigration laws for so long...
Go down to the DMV and get your U.S driver's license !!!

In order for you to become legal here in the United States, your employer would indeed need to sponsor you. They could sponsor you as a nonimmigrant, which would give you a visa to work here in the United States as a non-immigrant... It is, however, very unlikely that your application would be approved without any difficulty because of the fact that you have been here illegally... So, the other option your employer has is to petition for you to become a Permanent Resident. These types of permanent resident applications typically take a less amount of time than the typical one, such as a family petition, etc... It is because an employer has priority over others. This process would depend on the individual person, their circumstances, etc. The length it would take for the application to actually process also depends on where you file the application to, how many people are working on them, and how many people filed applications before your employer filed his or hers... So there is an advantage to filing as soon as possible.

Also, if your girls are at least twenty one years old, they would actually be able to petition for you to become a permanent resident as opposed to having to go through the employer option. Until they are twenty one, however, they would not be able to petition for you...

Also, look into some of the US' laws and regulations. We have different acts which allow people who have entered illegally to become a permanent resident... Depending on where you are from, most particularly Cuba.

If you have any more questions, feel free to call USCIS' customer service phone number, which is posted on the website at http://www.uscis.gov. You can also gain some useful information from that site as well.

As for your driver's license, they are going to ask for proof of how you entered the US, or your current status, unless you are from a very leniant state... So more than likely you will have to wait until you receive your permanent resident card to get your license from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Go down to the local police station and tell them of your circumstances. Maybe they will help you right back across the border.
