is that A LOT of people get reported for no true reason except that someone was so in disagreement with the other person, that they reported the user, and the customer care violation "judges" (who can't be paid that well) couldn't give a darn about thoughfully dealing with contentious abuse reports.
but this is where it gets sticky. I think that overwhelming it is christians that do that to skeptics. not tons of them, of course, but even if your a christian, you gotta admit, there are a lot a so called "christians" out their that don't want honest debate and would report dissenting views as if they were doing god a favor.
so the real question is, have you, as a christian, experienced a lot of violation spamming from what would seem to be obviously from a skeptic and they did it just to be spitefull?

yes, many have realized the judgement process for abuse is flawed.
In that case yahoo panel should not penalize the one who asks question or answer but take away one level from the one is wrongly reporting the abuse. However they have to be careful in giving out such penalty. It will be a good idea that if an abuse is reported but the other side wish to contest the abuse label then the two sides should be assessed by a real panel and not a software programme. The side that the panel judge against should be degraded by one level. How are such panel constituted is another issue.

Ya it's just wrong man. No matter what you believe you shouldn't spam or insult another person because of what they believe. I sorta made asked a rhetorical question about this a few days ago. I was sick of the stupid responses without any logic or evidence. Then I tryed to get into a debate with this one guy. And he has called me ignorant and a lier in every single email so far. He's so mad at me that he said he doesn't want me to email him anymore... Lol! Both sides do it, and I wish they would stop. But I would say that the atheists are more common and more spiteful than most of the Christians. You can see that just by looking at a few of the questions in the R/S section.

Not just christians, man. I have had good valid answers reported for ambigious reasons such as "Community Guideline Violations" and stuff. Some of my answers and questions should be removed, but others you can tell fundies were the unfair and immature driving force behind it all.
So heres my two-cents: Go ahead. Report me. I don't give a **** about your inability to understand the first amendment or give people a right to express an opinion. Shows how mature you are. So I don't care.

It is not overwhelmingly Christians who report people. I've been reported myself. I've also noticed, I can post something controversial, and no one cares. Then I can post "hey there's my friend Bill" and it will get a flag. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I also agree, Yahoo doesn't do much about investigating things.
I have reported people on here before, but ONLY because they used foul language or made a racist comment. Or posted a "question" about a money-making website. I never report anyone simply because they argued back at me.

Please!!! I get reported all the time. Yesterday I got reported for saying that the Bible did not mention Mohamed. The other day I tried to thank those people on here who prayed for my Aunt that was dieing and let them know she died, I got reported and they took 20 points instead of the normal 10, and they will tell me why.

I fully agree with your summation. I believe that there are those petty small minded individuals that report instead of giving your ideals a thumbs down. I am not Christian, nor do I profess to be one. It seems when I remark on the behavior of Christian ethic (lack there of) I am penalized.

I only report someone when it is repeatedly blantant and outright vulgar/profane. If it's a weird or strange question that I disagree with but understand it as a question, I never consider reporting.
