Yes, we met online when we were both 12. He lived in Arizona and I lived in NY. 9 years later we live together and plan on going to graduate school together. I'd say it was a pretty successful endeavor, but we also waited 5 years before meeting each other too. Be careful out there. There are tons of weirdos. Make sure if you do meet someone from the internet that it's in a public place and that people know where you're going. Good luck!

I have, though not through one of those dating services. They were just guys who I met through an online forum and we started instant messaging a lot. Online dating has its plusses (looks aren't dependent on how your feelings develop, for one thing!) but also its minuses--no physical contact, as well as the fact that you have to be really careful about stalkers and whatnot. Usually with a little discretion you're okay. For the "perfect match," though, I'm not sure I would reccomend it. If you're still pretty young, the chances of getting together with the guy are pretty slim, and again you have to be careful of perverts. But I've gotten several great friendships online with people that I've never met but I place a lot of trust in. I guess what I'm trying to say is, go slow and be VERY careful. It's easy for people to lie about their age, gender, looks, even personality.

I haven't and I wouldn't because all I hear is stories about liars and perverts and broken hearts. There are lots of men in the real world, Honey. We've been meeting and dating long before computers were ever invented. Most of those dating sites are just about the money.

If you do online dating, go through a service so people are screened. Otherwise who knows what type of person you may find. A murderer, rapist, or liar. The risks are too high!!

I'm in an online dating relationship right now. It's the best relationship I've had so far.

With as many choices that there in are in the real world...I wouldn't recomend it...I've done it...I've done it a few times...but the risks are far greater than the benefits...when your old enough to date I think you would be much happier in the real world! (I know you'd be much safer there too!)

I did. I didn't get much results but met a guy I used to know and liked but he didn't like me then and now we are together and love each other so it was worth it in the long run.
