I have heard this story a million times--but you people still get taken by these losers on the sites---Get some fellas from the tough side of town--bring them home--wake up the drunk and have your friends show this bum out of town--and her too if need be.And explain it to the bums--do not come back. He will just go and find another to leech off of. I wish I knew where you were--I'd help you out.

Since she is 24 yrs old there is really no way to stop her other than the family trying to talk her out of it. She is an adult and has to make her own decisions, even if they don't make sense and are bad choices. Eventually she will come to see him for what he is and will need her family to be there for her. She has to learn this lesson the hard way.

You have my sympathies. Your sister is in a bind and she is putting the rest of the family in a bind. My inclination would be to tell the bum to hit the road...and if sis wanted to go too, so be it. She will either come to her senses and recognize he is a bum...or she won't. If she stays hooked on the guy, it's her issue, not yours. If she comes to her senses, welcome her back, without judgment, and lots of love.
Another approach. Consider having everyone in the family, plus the unwanted guest, go to therapy. It sounds like your sister can use it, so can you mom and probably you. Definitely the unwanted guest. The family obviously nerds help. Get it.

I would let her do what she wants. She is an adult and even she may not have somewhere else to go she should still be allowed to make decisions for herself.

Let her go, but be willing to take her back anytime she wants to come home without this user/loser.
