Personally, if you have completely checked the dog all over and there are no apparrent injuries and the dog is acting the same as usual, rather than take it to a vet, which is very costly,I would observe the dog over a day and if there is any changes would then take to vet. Of course, if you are a nervous person without medical knowledge, for your own peace of mind take to vet.

of course you should don't just stand around. Your dog isn't going to know if it's perfectly fine. Take it to a vet ASAP and play it safe and make sure it's alright. It could have internal injureies that won't be seen. Also it's very dangerous to drive around with you dog in a pick-up. Why would you even ask this question online on your computer. Get off your computer and take it to the vet. It's expensive but what's more important? Your dog's life? or spending some money?

how sad you must feel!!! but i think the dog is in shock . and anything could of happened depending on where on his body you ran over!!!! its a good idea to take him in to your local vet or even his reg vet/ Just to let doc know and to make sure he is OK and not internally injured or in silent pain. if you got ran over by a car tire would your parents take you to the doctor? whatever your answer to that is. should be your answer. wont cost you much maybe even just a well being charge 40$ or if anything wrong a bit more. however our pets are not about money its about more then that!!! Good luck and let us all know how he is when he is checked out.........

Yes take him to the vet, then take your truck in for service.
After the truck is serviced Check yourself into a mental institute. Honestly what moron buts his dog in the back of a truck. Someone should put you back there and drive away.

take him to the vet. he could have internal injuries...the most common being damage to the bladder, kidneys, and liver, which swell over the next few days after a trauma such as you're described...better safe than sorry. best of luck.

First, if you were driving with your dog in the truck bed, I strongly suggest that you quit doing that...as obviously it's quite dangerous. Second, take him to the vet, please. It's better to be safe than sorry, and it's your responsibility to make sure he's actually okay.

Of course, you should take him to the vet because you don't know if there is any internal injuries and if there is the results can be devastating.
