The average IQ is 100. At 140-145 you start to get into genius territory.

When you get to the point where the guy is smarter than 999 out of 1000 people...

Would you date someone like that? Why or why not?

If the guy was respectful towards me it wouldn't make no difference how high his IQ was. There's got to be much more then a high IQ that would attract me to such a person.

SPIE is more like it for me. Spiritually, Physically, Intellectually, and Emotionally. Some one well balance or someone who is working towards that balance.

We would have to have things in common with each other wise it wouldn't work out mainly because Spiritually is the most important of all to me.

I like smart guys but mostly it's the wisdom, kindness, compassion, among other things that comes out of their months is what attracts me.

If they name call others then I don't see that as being smart at all. I see it as lack of maturity because it's considered abusive.

You sound like you are searching. Maybe you can take this quiz and find out your personality? Usually opposites attract but sometimes you can also meet others who have may some similarities.

let me know how this goes.

I use to be average...bout a 112 IQ and use to have the ladies without problem. Thin, nice build, blond with blue eyes, easily rank a 8 on a 1-10 scale.

Then back some years I got meningitis real bad and came out of it with no side effects except now my IQ continues to increase every year. Doctor has no clue why except he said he knows my brain had to rewire some due to any damage I got from the illness.

Last test I was a 142. And since I reached the 130 range, the women just fell off like dead flies. It literally was over night.

Even with my IQ and outside the box thinking, this one is perplexing.

I sort-of dated a guy who had an IQ in the genius range. (I'm about 130.) I could understand him quite well, but he got so freakin' boring sometimes that it made my head bleed. You don't know work until you've tried to look interested while someone tells you the history of curare. Now I choose guys who are on my wavelength.

Actually I only really want to date guys who are about the same "smartness" or "dumbness" as me or smarter. But intelligence isn't the number one thing I look for.

So the answer is yes, I would date a guy who was a LOT smarter than me, just hope he isn't arrogant.

I kind of went out with a guy who was so smart, he was chosen by NASA for a special project, our friend said he could program a bomb to show up at my front door, but couldn't tie his shoes....It was true. I'm sorry to say it only lasted a couple dates. P.S. He was sooo cute, and such a great dancer, He could "swing" and flip you all over the floor! Which was so fun! But to have a conversation, I'm sorry I just couldn't connect, I tried, really I did.

Wow...I like intelligent computer geeks but that might be a bit much...it would intimidate me. My ex was very smart and that would cause me to not mention certain things because I was afraid I'd say something wrong or use a word wrong....so I resorted to the whole ditzy and naive thing.

Heck definite! i could desire a virgin guy! i'm a virgin so as which would be a contributing factor. haha Being shy isn't undesirable, if something it makes me greater curious to get to understand people who're shy. being wholesome, having a advantageous character and being kind and now and returned chivalrous are key issues for any guy i could date. i could desire a virgin guy, in my view, considering that i'm saving intercourse for marriage.

seriously, i'm not into "so so intelligent guys"... i might end up being sorry for myself because i dont have IQ as high as his... and i might sounds stupid talking to him... i'd rather date an average IQ guy than someone like that... somebody who makes sense somehow and can understand why sometimes it is happier to be shallow...

but if it is brandon boyd of incubus... of course! why not? he is intelligent....... so cute..... gorgeous... sexy..... he knows how to use words properly..... just properly.... i love him!

but then again if it's not brandon boyd NO! intelligent guys, they dont accept opinions from others... most of them they think they're always right! their minds are close! but most of them have lots of pimples due to reading lots of dusty books and they seldom sleep because they know it is not so smart to sleep because they're trying to sieze the moments of their life by trying to know everything that a SMART person must know! history, algebra, physics, etc.. i dont know if they are happy!

well, yes... that's how it is... take it from me...

the answer is "no" i'm not going out with you, sweety... sorry..

There are many things to consider when you want to date.

Sense of humour, chemistry, common interests, is he nice? etc

I am sure there are many smart, mean people and many who are far from being geniuses but they are sweet, caring, sexy etc.

It is one small piece and really not the most important thing.

I'm a guy, but I just want to comment.... being a geek isn't cool in high school, but after that, being a geek is the thing!!! Think about it, would you rather have a former jock who makes a career out of being a garbageman, or a geek who runs a multi-billion dollar computer company? (Like Bill Gates)
