I date interracially and sometimes I have this awkard embarrassed feeling with some people and it is not comfortable because people sometimes look too hard at you when you are out doing couple things. Is there a way to not feel so embarrassed.

My best advise would be, don't think about it. If people want to stare, let them stare. If you feel good with the person you are with you should not feel awkward, just enjoy the person and forget about the world. Don't let race become a barrier in your relationships!!! :D

I'm in a interracial relationship at the moment and I don't feel any different. For me it's kind of cool and besides I love him so I don't care what other people say!!!

If you feel awkward or embarrassed, then maybe this isn't the thing for you to do. If you are happy with the person that you are dating, you should be proud to be with them and not worry or care what others are thinking.

I've never dated interracially, however, I have dated someone that I was embarrassed to be seen with and didn't want my friends to know about. During the relationship I finally realized that this man really cared for me and it didn't matter what anyone else thought about him or the two of us together. The only thing that matters in the end is how the two of you feel being together.

Good luck to you both!

Yes, it's called "who cares!!" Good for you that you are willing to date people of other race/culture than your own. Friendship and love are blind when they are true. If ignorant people cannot handle an interracial relationship that is just too bad.

The next time they look at you, kiss your partner more and more passionately and then look at them with a smile on your face!

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. You need to check yourself because you obviously have a problem with interracial dating. Who cares what other people think anyway??

well if you feel uncomfortable than maybe that means you should not date inter-racially. I have been in interracial relationships since I was 17. (now married to a man of a different race) I have never once felt uncomfortable about the looks. My attitude is. if you don't like it, than don't look!

Not unless you just want to date people of your own race. There will always be people who will look at you funny, and there will always be people who disapprove. If you feel that uncomfortable, then get out of those relationships. If you are fine with dating who you like, then i say adjust and get over worrying about what other people say or do. They arent in your relationship- you are.

hmm..I've been in quite a few interracial relationships (of many varities) and have never had that feeling....dunno if I just didn't notice or what....but the only advice I could give is that if a relationship makes you feel uncomfortable it probably isn't right.....

get out of it. you obviously have a problem with it yourself sense you say you feel embarrassed and awkward. your mate deserves someone who is not ashamed. date in your own race!
