Tell your family as soon as you want to. Lots of people wait until 12 weeks to really start spreading the word as that is the time that the risk of miscarriage drops. Congratulations!

I couldn't help myself and I told everyone a week after I found out. It's too exciting. Luckily, each time, I was around 7 weeks along. If you are worried about miscarriage etc, try and wait until the 12 week mark as between 1 and 12 weeks is the time most will miscarry if at all. It is hard to not tell anyone - maybe just tell your close family and close friends or just close family and then the rest after the 12 weeks.

The "best" time is when YOU feel most comfortable.

If you want to tell everyone the moment the stick turns pink, then it's the "best" time for you.

If you are cautious and want to wait until you know the baby is safe and o.k., then that is the "best" time for you.

Don't let other people tell you what you "should" do or that your timing is too early or too late.

You will find that people will butt in about everything and from now on, it never ends.

Listen to your heart and you will always do what is best.

Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy.

I told almost everyone within a week or two of getting positive from Doctor. I understand why someone would wait though... there's the always "what if something happens".. but really anything can happen during the entire pregnancy, so I would tell them as soon as you would like them to know.

I would say as soon as u find out. If they didnt want u to become pregnant then well thats harder but they're gonna find out sooner or later so u mite as well make it sooner. If something goes wrong then it would be wise to have them know alredy. If theres a problem or anything then u should tell them. The longer u leave it then the harder its gonna be i've learnt that. So good luck. And CONGRATULATIONS! I'm happy for u!! but seriously tell them soon!! Dont hold in the good news!

Congrats! With my daughter I told everyone as soon as I found out and eveything went fine, with my second pregnancy I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks,I had told everyone and that was the most painful experience, so when I got pregnant with my little boy we only told my parents and after the first trimester pass we told everyone, good luck with the baby!

you should tell everyone whenever you feel ready.

I only told a few people when I found out, lol--I let everyone else guess :p

the old saying though is to wait until 13+ weeks in case a miscarriage occurs--
although the risk is there all during pregnancy--m/c's happen to most during the first trimester.

The best answer is to tell them when you are ready! I told my immediate family at about 2 weeks along, but asked them to keep it to themselves for a while, until I was ready for everyone to know. My sister gave me such a hard time because she wanted to tell her in laws (whom I don't care for). I guess you can tell people when you are ready for EVERYONE to know.

Please tell people whenever you want. I told everyone when I had a positive EPT test!! We were very excited and wanted everyone to know right away.

Others believe you must wait until you are 3 months pregnant...but it's totally up to you. If anyone says "You're supposed to" about anything during your pregnancy you have every right to tell them to butt out.

Best of luck to you, take care!

With my big mouth??? We told our parents hours after we took a few (Ok, 6) tests! The time to tell them is up to you. My opinion, having a baby is so excitin, why not tell them now and enjoy all the attention! :)
