I personally think it's someone who believes in a Higher Being, just doesn't know who or what.

My answer would be the same as the others. An agnostic is one who doubts the possibility of knowing the existence of God. I was once an agnostic myself. I think it is a form of Atheism.

An agnostic is somebody that's still on the fence regarding spiritual beliefs, and is in no hurry to get off it.
Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to faith. Making NO choice is a choice in itself.

without looking it up i'd say it is someone who admits they don't know if God exists. i need to look it up, though. if most atheists were honest with themselves they'd call themselves agnostic. to me, it sounds so arrogant to say "there is no god". How can you know for sure???
