There are some plastic surgeons that can "grind down" the scar, but use vitamin E, and Mederma. That's likely you're best bet.

Scar treatment will only minimizes the appearance and improves the size of the scar. It is a superficial treatment. There's the treatment called "scar revision," which can be routinely done in a Dermatogist's office. Again, this treatment only minimizes the appearance of the scar. Since you want to wear a swimsuit and the like, try concealing it with a waterproof concealer. Ask a Dermatologist which does best for you. The concealer is not in cream or powder forms but rather it's in spray from. The most important step in the treatment of scars is careful consultation between the patient and the dermatologist, finding out what bothers a patient most about a scar, and deciding upon the best treatment.

I am not sure if you can get rid of it but there are ways to help diminish it's appearance. You can try using the product called Mederma for scars. They claim that it can make scars disappear but I really don't know. Also, get the Vitamin E capsules, poke a small hole with a pin in it and rub the liquid directly onto the scar. This will help diminish the scar some but not totally make it go away. My mom has done this with her scars from hip surgery and she says it actually helps.

Vit E does work but not as well as Emu oil. Emu oil is smaller molecules so is absorbed easier and needs to be nassaged into the scar which helps with the absorption and also increases the blood flow to the are and helps to break down the scar so it is more easliy absorbed. Emu oil alson has no tolerance level on the body so can be used many times a day. the fresher the scar the better. Emu can be ordered on line from Arizona or can let you know where some stores are that sale it. Praise the Emu!!

I used Mederma twice a day for about 6 months on a 3-month old parasitic body scar that spanned 2-inch in diameter. Its appearance diminished and is now almost unnoticeable. I highly recommended it.

Pure Vitamin E oil. It may not completely get rid of your scar but it will help it fade to a dull roar along with time.

No lotion will get rid of scars. A plastic surgeon can make it look less noticeable but it will always be there.

after your morning shower in which you exfoliate the area of the scar apply aloe vera gel to the spot. it should go away in about 6-12 weeks. also helps with stretch marks. make sure the aloe vera is pure.

Applying cocoa butter may help. but it usually takes months before you notice any difference. Other things you could try are microdermabrasion techniques like using Apricot scrub.
