Two things I watch on my dogs with regards to hair around the eyes are:

1, is hair blocking their vision? If so I trim it.
2, is hair around their eyes touching their eyeball and causing irritation? If so trim it too. Be really careful to not clip the skin, especially near the inner tear ducts.

Some dogs will have their hair grow really long and out of the way of the eyes, others need to have them trimmed a lot. You should take your dog to a good groomer and ask them how their eyes should look.

Trim her "bangs" hair length as you would trim your own bangs...You probably don't enjoy peering through bangs which obstruct your vision. Trim them to a length which you feel is complimentary to her appearance which satisfies your choice of length.
