I haven't had a Yorkie, but it was a dog I was looking into getting and when I started to look up info on them this is what I found. They don't shed and are lap dogs that loved to be held and touched, they have a playful nature and are true and loyal companions. They require very little exercise and also they're very intelligent and are easily taught tricks. On the bad side they are territorial, assertive, and don't necessarily get along with small children. Also they need A LOT of grooming and have a slight attitude. As far as health goes some are prone to bronchitis and early age tooth decay. They have delicate digestion systems so what they eat needs to be monitored closely. Sometimes they suffer from paralysis in the hind quarters and they're bones are very fragile so falls should be kept limited!

okay most yorkies are low blood sugar sufferers . I know this because i used to own 2 and they have to be groomed alot and their tempraments are not good around small children. Most are finiky eaters and will suffer from low blood sugar rather than eat a certain food. pros are they love grown people and they are clingy and are fine lap dogs if you let them be .
