Can the Global Jihadists be reasoned with, and how?

Al Qaeda (the base, or database) is a network of some 12m Jihadists who seek to install Fundamentalist Islam in their respective countries (Asia-Philippines, Indonesia & etc.- as well as the Middles East) and eventually the world. This is, of course, in conflict with others.

How do you reason with someone who wants you dead. Do you settle on letting them cut off a foot. Of course not; this is going to be another Islam vs non-Islam showdown. The question is how will the world to handle it.

Judging from the questions and answers, that I have seen posted on Q&A, by Islamic Fundamentalists; I think it's impossible to reason with most of them. They become almost crazed in responding to other people with the most vile insults and exagerated claims.

No, the solution is death.

For the rest of the minor jihadists the solution is death.

For those who respect all other religions and keep their yaps shut, the solution is....not death. But I still don't trust them because I know their religion.

No! Unless that whole world can convert to islam, reasoning will never work. Why should we reason when they dont want reason, and are incapable of reason.

you can't reason with killers who kill for the thrill of making god happy. they just aren't much upstairs, and haven't much between the ears either.
