The right time to have sex is when you feel you are ready and when you are ready to carry the responsability that comes with having sex like pregnancy or STDS. Also when you feel the person you are going to have sex with is the right one. You wouldn't want for him just to have sex with you then leave and make you feel used. Or for him to tell everyone about it. I think your first time should be special.

The answer "you'll know" is probably the most accurate you can get. First, learn to love yourself. Learn to accept yourself as the truly great and wonderful person you are. If you can honor yourself, then you will recognize those who truly want to honor you. And you will know whether you are honoring yourself by having sex with someone. Ask yourself, are you honoring yourself if you have sex with this guy? Sex is a biological urge that operates independently of our brains. We can analyze the situation, discuss it, study it but in the long run, we'll do it (sex) when we're good and ready. For some this means after marriage. For others it means whenever it feels good. Most are in between. You are the one who makes up your mind. Not him. Good luck.

When you feel that you are ready and can handle everything that could come from having sex then you are ready.

You never will, really.
If you say you are, perhaps you are.
If you say you are not, you are definitely not.

Since you do not list an age, I hope I am writing to someone at least in college, who would be old enough to assess at least some of the risks of AIDS, other STDs & pregnancy.

Use protection & educate your partner about condoms if he does not bring his own. His attitude can tell you alot about him.

If you choose to wait, you have lost nothing, and you can sleep easy for a little while longer.

Be safe, whatever you choose.

How old are you?
Are you just having sex because you are "old enough?"
Sex is supposed to be part of a loving relationship not just something you do and preferably proceeded by marriage.
There are lots of things to think about - pregnancy, diseases, etc.
What are you going to do about those?
