relationsip, what does he mean? Does he mean marriage or just some shack up deal? It seems like everyone is afraid to say marriage these days.

Ask him. Unless he says marriage, he isnt looking for that. Men are like little boys you have to delicately say things, but I say just be open and honest, no games, what the heck do you mean by long term relationship! Then have him be honest. Marriege is a state of mind, not a piece of paper, make sure you are with the right person instead of just some one to marry. To me the only thing that proves you are married is your divorce attorney

Long term I've always thought it to be marriage, but now a days, guys have different terminology for our words. I'm sure if a man says he's looking for a long term relationship, it would open up doors for you to reverse the table and ask him questions if his definition of long term is marriage or not. Good Luck !

I like "U Don't want 2 kno's" answer. She has the right approach. A couple should have had a long-term relationship before committing themselves to marriage. It takes a while to get to know someone well and to decide if you are willing to adjust your life for that person.

What he is saying is that he hopes to find someone that feels the same way. he is not looking for just dating. if he like the girl and the girl likes him he is ready to just date the one. he is tired of running around. As far as shacking up that is something that will never happen unless you agree to it. if you start dating him and stay with him and that toppic ever comes up just simply say , I would never just live with a man unless i was married to him.one day at a time. thats how you do it. ggod luck

meaning, he isn't the kind of guy to tap girl after girl. His interest focuses on one person he can feel comfortable with and slowly get to know one another, be happy with eachother and have a warm loving relationship AFTER THAT IS WHEN THE QUESTION ABOUT MARRIAGE WILL COME OR NOT.

Maybe he just wants to date one person exclusively for a while and see where it goes. I, personally, don't want anyone living with me. It would take a looooooooooong time of knowing someone to allow them to come in and try to change how I do things in my own home, but I really don't like dating around. It's all too confusing having to remember all those little things about just one person, much less more than one.
