Yes, a 3-month old kitten should have no difficulty in urinating by itself, and it should be easy to train them to use a litterbox if you want to.

Kittens need to be stimulated by the mother (she uses her tongue) to release urine and feces only when they're very little (less than 1 month old). By the time they are walking around, they're usually completely able to defecate and urinate on their own... in fact, that's the problem, they do it everywhere.
If you have a kitten that does not urinate well, please consult a vet (but make sure you observe it continuously for some hours first, to make sure it's not gone and peed somewhere else while you were not watching).

All kittens over the age of about 1 week should be able to urinate by themselves. You may have some trouble litterbox training him or her, but usually - if after eating and drinking, in the morning, before you go to bed, and also if you catch them desecrating the carpet - you place the cat in the litterbox and say good boy/girl then leave them (if they hop out without doing anything, put them back in a few times, if after about 4 times, they still do nothing then let them go, they probably don't need to go but it may just be unfamiliar to them so do try) to go about their business, you should have them trained in a couple of weeks or days. I hope this helps, but you need to be dedicated enough to do this every day and time you get the chance. Also, try feeding your kitten food without fish in it and giving them cat breath fresheners for less smelly waste and breath.

Yes.. the only time it needs help going potty is when its a few days old and the momma licks the babies rear ends... your cat should be urinating on its own.. if not, you need a vet!

The only problem you might have is litter training them, youll have to pick up the poo and put it in the litter box and use some toilet paper to soak up the pee and put a little of tha pee toilet paper in the litter box too. Hope this helps.

Yes, absolutely.
The mama cats licks the tummy of her offspring to stimulate them to "go" only when they are very tiny.

When they are walking around on their own they should have no more problems with the bathroom.
