I always heard, sex sells. But seriously, I remember when I was young, I went where the good looking guys hung out. So to get the good looking guys there, you have to have a pool table, good music, and ladies night..to lure the women..then the guys will come, to see the women, if you have to hand pick a few great lookers with coupon freebies, do it. Get some cute flirty sweet waitresses, that keep the guys coming back and learn peoples names..and hollar it everytime they walk thru your door like you are so glad to see them...we love to be wanted and remembered!

Depends on your location and the type of people that go to your pub. You could have different kinds of specials for each day of the week, you know like ladies night, happy hours, and do you have entertainment items (wide screen tv, pool tables), and the main thing you have to cater to the kind of people that go there and where its located, and word of mouth. What kind of customers do you want and what are you prepared to do for them to make them long life customers.

Strippers lol. Have a DJ thingy, like people can put in requests for songs and a guy will put the song on. Get a dartboard. Have special deals on certain days, like cheaper liquer on Wednsday.

For a drinker like me, i'd love to go to a place where i can chill out with a few friends and not having to burn a hole in our pockets so, having a fairly good deal on your drinks will be a great start! Then creating a great ambience will also be a major factor. On your part, you need to talk to your customers, buy them drinks, especially regulars and they will bring more people in. Having bubbly,friendly servers will also help.

Have certain specials one for a ladies night that will bring in women because if theres women more men will show up, and vise versa, a local club here done it and shut down all the others because of it.
