The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7

God created the earth and all that is therein. Sin has caused the world to be altered from the plan that God had for it. Sin brought death and the breakdown of the natural laws He put into effect. When a couple has a baby, it is a product of procreation. His natural laws with sin's flaws cause a baby to be born. God can and does mitigate at times, but for the most part He allows our choices to have their effects (on ourselves and others). God can use anything for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Sometimes these people see life in ways we only can wish we could. Each person has value to God and is important to Him.

God doesn't CREATE anyone. He created 2 people and that was it.

Ever since then, the "miracle of birth" has been used to create other people (LOOK IT UP, ITS QUITE INTERESTING). The fact is, it takes 10 generations for genetic defects to "set" into our genome and look how many generations we've had, I can't even imagine. So, yes birth defects are bound to happen. Christ cured these without compunction (meaning he didn't stop to blame the people) because he knew everyone but him was the same. Get it, the same. IMPERFECT. So, if we're all imperfect, what does it matter if its a cleft palate or obesity? Imperfection is just that, imperfections.

Well, let's put it this way.
I hate my disabilities, but I can still lead a Godly life based on Christ.
And if the truth be known, I'm not sure I would be a Christian if it weren't for my disabilities. Many are far more disabled than I am, but disabilites are the result of a sin-defiled world, not God's creation.

God can take bad things and use it for the ultimate good. You shouldn't question His motives in anything. There is a divine reason behind the people who have disabilities. We may not be able to see it but it's there.

Well that would be me. I was born with cerebral palsy & later in life developed uncontrollable seizures but I think there was a good reason. I try & look at the positive side of things. I had a fantastic job but if I wasn't asked to retire 30 early ( the IRS was afraid I would get injured at work) somebody else would have raised my daughter & thats the job I take most pride in

If you insist on God's creation and control of the universe, you must assume that God has some (perverted?) plan for bringing about children that may never be able to breathe on their own, get out of bed, speak, or any level of difficulty.

If, on the other hand, you assume natural mutations in genes and other causes of birth differences, these variations fit into the natural world, and you don't have to argue with God over why your child was born to struggle.

God did not create people with disabilities.

The thing people put in their bodies created it. Havoc on their babies.

There is sin in the world, from Adam on, and one of the consequences of sin is sickness, even disabilities; but more serious, death. Jesus Christ came to the earth in order to overcome sin and its consequences. We will not find all of them removed on this life (there is still a lot of sin, and the devil is also working), but in the next life we will be able to be with God, through Jesus Christ, and there there will not be more sorrow.

We created our own life. We decided that we wanted to learn from whatever disability we have. God supports us.
