Opposed.
Not b/c I don't care for the poor poor children of the world who are already here and didn't ask to be here.
Not b/c I think woman should die to have a child (even though woman don't die anymore b/c of technology).
Not b/c I don't have sympathy for abused child (being a survivor of abuse).
Not b/c I cannot fathom being raped and the horrible circumstances behind dealing with a child from that rape. (though statistics say most rapes do NOT result in pregnancy, as it is DNA proof of their crime).
Not b/c I should decide if the quality of life for that child is worth baring it.
These are all circumstances. If I hit a man with my car (who no one would say isn't alive) and am convicted of manslaughter, does that change the outcome? If someone breaks in my house to rape me and I stab him to death is he not dead? Circumstances matter. My heart goes out to anyone who has had to go through the decision of abortion. However the real problem is when does life begin?
I oppose abortion for one reason:
It is taking a life.

It depends on the situation. As a means of birth control, which it is considered by many, no. In the case of rape and/or incest - can fully understand the person choosing abortion. If the life of the mother is threatened by the pregnancy - Yes, especially if she has other children who need their mother. If an amniocentieses shows severe deformities that will prevent the child from having any kind of quality of life, the parents choice for abortion should be respected. I am a christian but am not affiliated with any church. I think for myself and try to use common sense.

nicely for sure aborting a toddler is in a way killing. it truly is a grey area inspite of the indisputable fact that, because some say that it's not a actual existence yet, and different say it truly is. yet i might want to be extra on the aspect that it truly is a sort of homicide. i extremely do not understand what my stance on it truly is. i'm a Christian and that i imagine each so often this is okay, yet then different cases i have self assurance like this is incorrect. Adoption might want to be very troublesome on the mummy, even extra so than merely abortion, i imagine inspite of makes the mummy happier...

First of all, I am a muslim woman. My body is mine to do with as I so choose and I have just as much right as a man to be a part of society. My duties are to give birth to and raise the children, and their father's is to support them and I and not oppress me. As to your question, I am both. I don't agree with it being used as birth control because of the detrimental effects it has to the body of the woman and her future children. During an abortion, the cervix is stretched to an unnatural size and the baby is taken out in pieces, until only its head is left and that is busted open and sucked out. As for the woman who has been raped or whose health or life is jeopardized because of it, she has every right to have an abortion. She should not be any further traumatized than she already has been. No woman should be forced to give birth to her rapists child, or endure being pregnant and having so much discomfort for 9 months not to mention excruciating pain during labor with her rapist's child. As for her health, she can always have other children. If she is stricken with cancer, islamically, her health comes first. It comes first long before that pregnancy, too, because she should not be forced to have children if she is not healthy and her body can not bear it. I am a mother of two. I know just how hard it is becuase I've had c sections with both of them. I feel robbed because I wasn't able to give birth naturally, but with my first I tried that and that was the dumbest thing I ever tried to do.

Personally, I'm not sure I would ever consider it for myself, but it's not my decision to make for millions of women, and it's not the presidents decision to make either. Abortion is a personal, touchy subject, and each woman needs to have the right to decide for herself. It's entirely her choice. Pro-life groups can argue about how life is precious or abortion is a sin all they want, but when it comes down to it, they aren't the ones who are going to have to raise an unwanted baby. Unless a person is directly affected by that woman's choice, they should have no say in the matter.

I am a Law abiding citizen, and believe in God. I believe life begins at conception. I do not believe in abortion for birth control.
I am not against birth control or condoms, or any method that prevents conception. If it is a tubal pregnancy, then of course it must be removed because it would kill the mother. I beleive if a pregnancy was forced upon a woman, against her will (rape), then she has the right to pass sentence on the fetus. Or if she is under age, the family should decide what is best.
This is what I believe, I don't force my personal choices on others. It is they that have to live, with the consequences of their actions.

I oppose sexual irresponsibility. We have free birth control in this country.
I oppose using tax dollars to pay for abortion. In NY 40% of abortions are paid for with medicaid. Why should tax dollars pay for an elective surgery?
I oppose the damage that abortion does to a woman's body. Few doctors will be honest about that.
I am a Christian but most of my views on abortion are not in-line with the typical Christian point of view. I am not pro-life or pro-choice because both sides lie.
By the way, I support the right for woman to decide what she does with her body. Therefore, she should not chose to use her body for sexual pleasure without the proper birth control. If she does not use protection she might end up with something worse than a pregnancy.

I am a Christian, and I support abortion. It is a woman's right to choose what she wants or does not want her body to deliver. She is the host, if you will, and the baby is along for the ride. If she doesn't want it, doesn't even want to bear it then it's her choice.
Let us take for example, a pregnancy resulting from a rape. Others will say that if the mother doesn' t want her baby she should give it up for adoption. I say - no woman should have to carry the result of her trauma around. The baby may be innocent, but what is that doing to her emotionally.
In conclusion. I support abortion. It is the woman's choice.

I oppose abortion! Abortion is murder and it makes murderers out of each mother that has one, the doctors who perform them, the nurses and other health care providers that have anything to do with abortions!
I do not support a woman's right to choose!
I am a born-again Christian!
