No, he's not abusing the military. The military is doing it's job. They are finally getting to use the training that has prepared them for war since they signed up.

I think you need to poll military members to answer that. As a retired Air Force officer that keeps "in touch", my gut feeling is that the vast majority would not only say no, but hell no! That dishonor goes to the Clinton administration and its "war on the military". The pay gap has been narrowed some each year since President Bush took office and Reserve and Guard troops have had benefits more equal to active duty members. The strain on the current military is directly attributable to the draconian military budgets of the Clinton years - the military shrank by nearly 50% during these times of %GDP allotted to the military being less then since WWII - forcing the current overuse of Guards and Reserves. There's a reason why the Gore team disgracefully prevented thousands of overseas military residents of Florida from having their votes count (no hanging chad here!) in the 2000 election.

1st of all Bush does not abuse the military, for one I am in the Air Force and he is a great C&C. If anyone is abusing the military it is the democrats on the left whom seem to hate us. Thank god I am going to retire before Bush is done. I already went thru 8 years of abuse with Clinton. That was the worst moral problem the military has experienced in along time having to deal with that draft dodger!!

I would have to say no. You have to remember that declaring open war on a country requires an act of congress. So there is no way he would be able to use them for personal gain. And as for abusing the Military no he is not. All branches of the armed services are trained to fight in a combat environment. They are just executing what training has been performed.

Bush has sent over the military to do what they are trained to do, no personal profit, only personal loss. the loss of popularity because people want a war that cant be ended to end.

No. I have heard President Bush only brag on the men and women that serve. I have never heard him say anything that could be considered abuse even by the liberals.

I would have to say NO. Abusing the military would be to make them train, train, train, and do nothing with it. Abusing the military would be forcing people to join, such as the draft. As long as the military is an all-volunteer force, there is nothing wrong with the military doing its job.

No I don't want to say that. He is not abusing his own military. The situation is he send the soldiers to this place and they do their job.
