1. How do you articulate why it is wrong (particularly in the Christian faiths) to masturbate? (No references to the Bible, please). As I understand, one large part is that it is considered a "waste of seed."

2. If you are anti-choice (and preferably not religious), have you ever masturbated in your life and not felt guilty or, alternatively, ever had sex outside marriage or any episodes of accidental/irresponsible sex?

No judging - I have done all of the above. I appreciate honesty. I would like to possibly relate this later to the claim that "a life begins at the moment of conception."

Okay. Elaborate on these thoughts, or on this lust. What exactly about it is wrong?

Sacrificing the love of God for the love of oneself would be intrinsically evil. Remember what a marriage is the total self giving of love for the highest and best thing for the sake of the beloved for all that I am and all that I have I give to you because I love you.
Masturbation is surely not that.

Masturbation recognizes a physical drive, which unlike hunger and thirst, can be mastered.
The dangers of masturbation are:
a) The view of sex as pleasuring self rather than another.
b) The likelihood of degrrading the "other" in the imagination - hence porn gets ever more raunchy.
c) Decreasing the wonder of exploring the sexual act w/ one's mate.
That said, our society has lifted sexual expression to a position of inherent right. Paul's advice about not abstaining from sex too long in a marriage for fear of satan's temptation easily applies to m. as well.

Religous aspect without Bible reference....hmmm....OK, here's my shot at it. Everything is good, but has it's proper time and place. Sex is good, and was made to be between a man and woman to bring about the most intimate level of simultaneous giving/receiving. All other ways of giving and recieving has a time span between them...sex doesn't. The two were put together by God (the act and the partner) and shouldn't be seperated. To come about the feeling alone is considered selfish and outside of it's purpose. How did I do????

I myself can't really answer that question why it would be wrong. you would think that it would be ok to do ex specially if you where single or married and that feeling came over you to want that intimacy and didn't have someone to share that feeling with to just satisfy yourself it's better than going out and having sex which seems to be wrong if your not married. So if it came down to it I would prefer being judged for masturbating than going out and have sex without being married.

It seems that anything to do with sex in general, expecially liking it is bad according to the bible!!!

I've had a vasectomy, so no wasted seed--so it's ok, right? (also helps prevent prostrate cancer)
