I have decided on brown and pink for my wedding colors. I think they are really good together but I need help figuring it all out. We are getting married in July of this year. I am hoping to get ideas about invitations, tux vest colors, bouquets...ok, ok, everything. I'm turning into my own worst nightmare. I need good web sites and web articles!!! Thanks!!! Wish me luck....

I am getting married in June and I am also having a brown and pink wedding. I am also doing the whole polka dot thing too kinda. I don't want alot of polka dots just a little here and there.

These are the invitations that I am going with. Where the blue is I am going to do pink. http://www.myjeanm.com/Engine.cfm?iCatID=29678 Also try mygatsby.com. There is a great fold one and you can mix and match the colors. These are the original ones that I was going to go with.

My cake is going to be brown and pink too. The bottom layer is going to be brown and pink stripes. The middle is going to be a pink cake with a brown ribbon. And the top layer is going to be brown and pink polka dots.

For my favors I am still undecided. But these are the two options that I am stuuck between. I am either going to do the clear pillowboxes http://www.bagsandbowsonline.com//product/details.asp?dept%5Fid=21200&DeptPath%5Fid=2111%2C+21200&sku=255%2D030301%2DFHD&HeaderName=Clear+Frosted+Plastic+Boxes&mscssid=7CL6CEM1L0NL9JCV9UPL8712BQ1992T5 with alot of pink and a little bit of brown jellybeans. Or I am going to do this http://www.weddingfavorites.com/CNDBOX-p-wedding-favor-boxes.html but I was going to make them myself with some brown and pink scrapbooking paper. Some would have the polka dots and some would be the stripes. And I would fill these with personalized M&M's.

My girls are going to be wearing pink dresses (which I am having the hardest time with finding) and my groomsmen will be wearing pink vests.

The bouquets are undecided but on theknot.com, weddingchannel.com, and brides.com their are picture galleries of hundreds of them and you can save them into your scrapbook so when it is time to meet with the florist you can basically print them out and your florist can maybe combine like 3 bouquets that you really like together to make the perfect bouquet. I am probbaly going to go with something with a lot of pink and a little touch of brown.

I haven't thought of centerpieces yet. i have no idea what I am going to do about that.

But I prefer weddingchannel.com over the others to find stuff. I don't know why. But I hope maybe I gave you a little help. And if you ever find anything e-mail me at kajunchik86@yahoo.com.

Good Luck!

www.brides.com (modern bride magazine site), buy tons and tons of wedding mags. I thought they were a waste of money until I bought one and they turn out to be sooo helpful when it comes to ideas.

As for pink and brown, I'd use more pink and just accent with the brown. I'm doing a pink candy bar but the brown would work for you [chocolate]. I'm also doing pink martinis and pink lemonade for the kids. When it comes to table settings incorporate both the pink and brown by using runners, overlays, etc. (everything possible) and not having everything one color - mix and match. I'm also gonna do a a variety of different pink flowers in small vases to save money. You should try that with little glass vases - around $6 each at Jamaligarden.com. You can also try candles.

As for bridesmaid dresses try www.therosedress.com (verrry cheap), davidsbridal.com, jcrew.com. You can probably find a tea-length brown dress with a pink sash. If not, just add a sash. But those are pretty common colors so it shouldn't be hard.

Definately go to theknot.com and check out their photos under the planning>>flowers & decor or reception sections. They'll give you tons of ideas.

I am going to believe that these answers are from persons who are already married(years ago) or are not up to trnde. theknot.com just did a segment on pink and brown in fact the colors for my July wedding are silk chocolate and pink and since i have been doing research the ancient colors of yesteryear oare over and this is a trend that has been happening for the past few years.

For invitations i have someone working on these original colors and i got her from Yahoo chat! visit sassy girls and go to the vendors tab and contact her she does amazing stuff.

if you search my question from 3 days ago i received SEVERAL positive intersting feedbacks on decorating the hall.

check the wedding cake sites they have cakes in these specific colors. try all the wedding sites the knot, wedding channel, etc they each have things on these colors and a couple of the true weddings listed incorporated this look and had FABULOUS weddigns.

Remeber, this is your wedding. dont take too much to heart when someone advises U to change your picked colors. i dont remeber them ringing your door bell to see if you accepted the idea of who they married :) go with what makes u happy.

u need to hurry though there is less than 100 and something days to go and thankfully i am almost finished/

good luck and ur wedding will be as fabulous as mine will.

Check out www.theknot.com for ideas. They have tons of invitation samples, maybe you can find a design that you like there. Or you can go to a local printer and have some custom made--it may be more expensive, but then you will be guaranteed to get exactly the shades of brown/pink that you want.

Vest colors, I would go with a soft pink--if the men are willing. I would match it to the bridesmaids gowns if at all possible--it will look more coordinated that way.

Go to some local florists and tell them you are looking for ideas for your wedding. Have sample shades of brown/pink that you want, and see if they have any flowers that match. They can provide you with sample bouquettes as well as center pieces if you ask nicely.

And, on that website, there are a million articles to help you with just about every aspect of your wedding. You may also want to look into a professional wedding planner--their experience can help you better identify what exactly you want and they can usually get you good deals with vendors. They also may be able to show you venues or design ideas that are perfect that you never would have thought of. Good luck and God bless!

I'm using these colors for my bridal shower. Contrary to some opinions, I love that color combo. I was just looking on line for invitations/thankyou's and favors in mocha/pink. Here are a few I liked:

really COOL pink/mocha candy bar wrappers

Bill Levkoff makes bridesmaids dresses with sashes that you can do in a contrasting color. Pale pink with a chocolate brown sash would look lovely. For tux colors, the only advice I can give is, do not do a black tux with a brown vest..icky. They do make tuxes in deep mocha that are awesome. For flowers I would do many shades of pink all in one flower (think several shades of pink roses all tied tightly with a mocha ribbon). Yoru colors are really nice...best of luck!

The biggest help I can offer you seriously is to change one of your colours; these do not go together at all. Either coordinate something with the brown, or something with the pink, but not in combination.
Sorry, don't mean to rain on your parade. Maybe you just need some better advice, or to look around more in magazines for ideas...

You can get the reception hall to use brown clothes with pink overlays (or vice versa) and your cake can be pink with brown trim. I have seen some cute invites in these colors.
